WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J.—Civil War News Columnist Joe Bilby was selected to receive the New Jersey Historical Commission’s Richard J. Hughes Award for his significant contributions to scholarly and public history. His nomination is posted to www.history.nj.gov. The award was presented at the Commission’s annual history conference, Greetings from New Jersey: Popular Culture and the Garden State. The event was held Nov. 2, at Monmouth University.
