Time spent in Gettysburg is always fun and last week our trip did not disappoint. We would like to give a special thanks to Loring and Jean Shultz, owners of the Farnsworth House Inn, and their staff for always making our stay relaxing and memorable. We ate at Sweney’s Tavern on multiple occasions, where Connie, always keeps everyone entertained while serving tasty dishes and mixing delicious cocktails like the Confederate Sharpshooter and the Robert E. Lee Cooler. We would also like to say thank you to Sam and Wes Small, owners of The Horse Soldier located at 219 Steinwehr Avenue, along with Jim Thomas for taking on the responsibility of making sure that thousands of our Gettysburg Sections were delivered to shops, museums, B&B’s, restaurants, hotels, the GBPA Civil War Show and the GAC reenactment so that the issues could be distributed for free to visitors and attendees during the 155th anniversary celebration.
