Awards were given to at the Chickamauga Civil War Show to the following (left to right): Award of Excellence to Dr. William Blackman & Don Phillips, Best of Show to Dave Winfield, Chairman’s Award to Bill Beard, Director’s Award to Jerry Hayes and People’s Choice Award to Dr. Brian Riel.

This issue was full of articles and information leaving very little space for my From The Lowcountry column. Not that I’m complaining about having wonderful content! We are constantly searching for the best of the best authors and articles for CWN. The annual Gettysburg edition is approaching fast. We attended Mike Kent’s 22nd Annual Chickamauga (Dalton) Civil War Show Feb. 4 &5. By far the largest number of tables and participants in the show’s history. Mike Kent’s shows are run very well, heavily promoted and bring in large numbers of attendees.

Some of the highlights can be found in this column and on page 17. We will be attending the Show of Shows in Louisville, Ky. and the Baltimore Antique Arms show in March. Stop by and see us if you can. Our move to Charleston is finished and we are slowly unpacking. We sincerely appreciate patience for anyone that contacted us during the move.

Civil War News staff attended Mike Kent’s Chickamauga (Dalton) Civil War Show, Feb. 4 & 5 and visited with many of the authors and other columnists. This was the largest number of participants in the shows history with 500 tables of material from all over the country.
