MT. PLEASANT, SC.—This year’s show was another success. More tables were sold and attendance was up from 2016. There were excavated artifacts of all types and eras, bottles, books and rare books, prints, GAR/UCV material, bullets, buttons, belt buckles, uniforms, images, metal detectors, guns, swords and much more at this show. The award winners at the 2017 Lowcountry Civil War and Artifact Show in Mt. Pleasant, SC from L to R: Most Educational was presented to Rusty Hicks for his display of Confederate Soldiers’ History. People’s Choice and Best of Show went to Bill Blackman for an extensive display of Confederate Belt Buckles and Plates. Best Artifact was won by Dicky Ferry for his Civil War era Surgeon’s Frock Coat from the Steve & Trisha Mullinax Collection.
