Franklin Civil War Round Table Recognized

FRANKLIN, TENN.—The Franklin Civil War Round Table (FCWRT) was recently recognized with a proclamation by Franklin Mayor Ken Moore for completing its 100th event. The FCWRT began in 2007 and has over one hundred members dedicated to the study of the Civil War era. “We have monthly programs as well as tours, preservation activities and various special events recognizing our Civil War heritage, especially as it pertains to Franklin,” said founder Greg Wade. The organization says it takes “no positions’ and has programs on everything from Reconstruction and women’s issues to battles and military personalities. As the educational wing of the preservation group Franklin’s Charge, the Round Table has helped in the preservation and reclamation of the Franklin battlefield over the last several years.
